Anna Paola Cedrini

AnnaPaola

My name is Anna Paola Cedrini and I'm a freelance language teacher and translator. I was born close to Rome but we moved several times across Italy because of my father's job. In 1999 I took my degree in English and German Language and Literature at Florence University and I've been teaching ever since.

When I first moved with my husband back to Rome in 2003, I started working as a translator for TV. It was a very creative job and it gave me the possibility to meet and work with great people. Still, I felt I was missing something, so I went back to my first love: teaching languages.

In 2007, I moved to Holland because of my husband's job. At that time we had a young boy of two and the next year our second child was born. I started contributing to a magazine but I felt I needed to do more. Since moving abroad, I felt more and more Italian, so I started teaching my own language. And I love it! It's good fun and giving somebody the instruments to understand and get understood in another language, with all the richness that going beyond our own personal and national boundaries implies, fills me with joyful enthusiasm.
