It makes me happy when clients say with a smile after a course: Ït's so nice to speak German!". I enjoy supporting people to do their job with satisfaction. My angle: show them how to speak German in full confidence and to develop the necessary self-reflection.
I want people to remain true to themselves when they speak and act. Of course, one needs vocabulary and a minimum of grammar to do that, but the most beautiful thing is to to be yourself, isn't it? In my training sessions I show my students for which personal contact the German interlocutor is receptive, and how he differs in this respect from his Dutch colleagues. I show people how to act empathically, to laugh together about funny formulations, and not to take themselves too seriously. This creates a lot of space in the learning process, and at work. I work from a location in Amsterdam which is easy to reach. Since 1987 I have been creating my own office and it now has a personal, quiet, stylish and inspiring atmosphere. My clients come from all over the Netherlands and work in various branches. Being asked to guide them gives me the opportunity to constantly renew my knowledge in the many different fields of, for instance, architecture, tax law, import and export, marketing, presentation skills, theatre, sales and more. My work stimulates me to constant development in various areas: from didactic skills to non-verbal communication and business coaching. |
