Anne Kewitsch

Anne_KewitschI am a musical person and I love my language. In 1985, I came to The Netherlands to study flute at the Rotterdam academy of music. I stayed in the Netherlands for love and I never let go of my second love: the German Language.

When we had our two sons, there was never any doubt that they grow up bilingual. We read German books, sang Dutch songs and brought cheese and chocolate sprinkles to my family in Germany, and returned with malt beer and and ham. Slowly, my wish to combine being a teacher and my love for the language took on firmer shape. As a trainer at a variety of language schools , I got the chance to do just that. After some time, I started working as a free-lance German trainer. I have taught people from many different professional backgrounds, for instance producers of documentaries, lawyers, (account) managers, and administrative staff. I like to work with people and enjoy listening to students telling me about their hobbies and their work. I believe that a positive approach helps people learn. As a native speaker, I enjoy seeing my students not just improving their German but also becoming more interested in German literature or television shows, German culture and the country in general.
