Hello, my name is Linda. I was born and raised in London, where I also did my teacher training at a college overlooking the River Thames. More than 20 years ago I moved to the Netherlands where, for a number of years as well as teaching English part-time, I dabbled in various work activities.
I ran a B&B in Leiden, did administrative office work, set up an ironing service, worked as a telephonist for a taxi service in Noordwijk, worked freelance as a translator (Dutch to English) and as a voice-over artist. Eventually I decided to follow my heart and to work full-time teaching English as a second language. My passion is to help people overcome their fear of speaking English, so that they can radiate as much confidence when communicating in English as they do in their own language. I adapt my teaching style to fit the needs of the learner. The common theme in all the lessons is that they're enjoyable as well as informative. Over the years I've taught dozens of nationalities, all age groups and a wide range of professionals such as HR managers, CFOs, secretaries, scientists, school teachers, technicians and tv documentary presenters. Each new teaching project is exciting – the more challenging the assignment the more creative and enthusiastic I become! |
