In 1994 I started studying English at the university of Leiden. I had the chance to follow a semester in Galway, Ireland. This is when I first noticed my disposition for language teaching because I helped many of my non-English speaking friends with their English. I enjoyed it very much, also because it brought me into contact with various cultures.

Je suis née à Paris en 1966 dans une famille d’artistes sculpteurs et j’ai passé mon enfance entre le Louvres et Versailles. Avant d’arriver aux Pays-Bas en 1988, j’ai fait des séjours en Angleterre et en Allemagne pour perfectionner mes langues et j’ai passé une année à la Sorbonne en scandinavistique où j’ai aussi pris des cours de néerlandais.

My name is Anna Paola Cedrini and I'm a freelance language teacher and translator. I was born close to Rome but we moved several times across Italy because of my father's job. In 1999 I took my degree in English and German Language and Literature at Florence University and I've been teaching ever since.

After having worked in 'health care' for years, I decided to change my career halfway through the nineties. I became a Dutch language trainer and I have taught various groups since then. The possibilities as a language trainer are endless, and working with people from different backgrounds and cultures never ceases to inspire and challenge me. I believe that a language is like a key. Give it to somebody and it will open doors for them.

My name is Astrid and I left for France when I was 19 years old. I learned French from the French themselves and found that the best way!. I studied there, and worked as office manager, buyer and event coordinator. Eventually I stayed around for 13 years.

Teaching is the best job there is! I enjoy the contact with all students from various countries and backgrounds. I have taught many different people, from house wives and men to IT specialists and actuaries. I received my Celta (Cambridge Certificate for teaching English to Adults) 6 years ago. After that I lived and worked in Spain for two years.

My name is Patricia Espejo Fernández and I’m a Spanish trainer and translator. I have a degree in Translation & Interpretation (English and French into Spanish) and Communication. I came to the Netherlands in 1984, and started working as a freelance trainer for an international language organisation and eventually became Head of Spanish.

I was very happy to be back at HagenHorst. Years ago, I  taught Spanish here for the Narwal. Now I am back to do the same for DnA Languages. I have always kept my passion for the Iberic languages and cultures: during my professional activities in Buenos Aires and Barcelona, and while completing my MBA at a Dutch - American university. I really hope I can share that passion with you!
