| Who are DnA? |

DnA Languages was founded by Dorte Kramers and Anneke Siemons. Being Dutch language trainers themselves, they have many years of experience in giving language courses in the private and professional field. 'How' and 'What' by Dorte and AnnekeDorte: "Anneke and I met in 2003. I had stopped working at JCDecaux to become a teacher at a secundary school. This was not all I had hoped it would be and I got a temporary job as a taxi-driver. While taking someone to Buitengoed HagenHorst, I noticed that it housed a language intitute, at that time called 'Ceran Netherlands'. I called the following day and was invited to meet Anneke, head of the language department. It wasn't until Anneke asked me why I thought they should hire me that I realized it was a job-interview!
After following an internal training session, I started working as a language trainer for the Beukelaar groep. It was a fun time and I learned a lot. I also got more and more closely involved with the organization of the institute. When Anneke suggested we set up a business together, I immediately realized it was a great idea. It was the right time for me, and I'm looking confidently ahead. Anneke is a great colleague. Apart from being a fantastic and dedicated language trainer, she is a wonderful person to work with. She is relaxed, stable and down to earth, but also a lot of fun. We make the best programs together. I am very happy we got the chance to start DnA Languages." Anneke: "I remember really well we had a click from the beginning, and that has never changed! From the start she has always been very committed, both to the organization and the making of the courses as to her colleagues and the students, quite a few of whom she is still in contact with. I have been teaching languages in many different ways since my days of studying Applied Linguistics in Groningen. Only when I came to work for Living Languages, an initiative of the Beukelaar groep, I got the chance to fill in the programs in a personal and original way, which enhanced the pleasure I derived from my job. In Dorte I have found a real buddy. Getting together to design a program always gave me tremendous energy. We never fail to find original working methods, meetings and outings. When the idea of setting up my own institute started to live, it was a logical step to ask Dorte to join me. We have embarked on this journey together and I haven't regretted it for a moment!" |
